Functional medicine consultation — reviewing blood work results with a patient

Blood work read through functional ranges — patterns a “normal” result can miss.

Welcome to the Center

Wellness isn't the absence of a diagnosis.

In the practice's own words

We believe in the body's ability to heal itself — and that the role of the physician is to facilitate that natural healing process. We look at patterns and systems of function rather than single disease diagnoses: functional medicine approaches the complexity of human health as unique to each individual's genetics, behavior, and circumstances.

It looks for the key points of leverage where an "illness" can be coaxed back to the preferred, optimally-adapted state we call wellness. Our commitment is to help you restore and maintain optimal health through natural, non-toxic methods — using both traditional and modern diagnostics, and teaching methods of self-care so you can remain healthy without frequent visits to the doctor.

The Health Triad Method™

Every patient enters through a different door.

One patient may begin with pain. Another may begin with fatigue, digestion, hormones, stress, brain fog, autoimmunity, or poor athletic recovery. The concern that brings someone through the door matters — but it may not tell the entire story.

The Health Triad Method™ helps Dr. Ozzie evaluate how Physical, Chemical, and Mental/Emotional factors may be interacting so the patient can receive a clearer, better-prioritized roadmap.

The Health Triad Method™ Three connected domains — Physical, Chemical, and Mental/Emotional — each linked to the whole person at the centre. The whole person Physical Chemical Mental
01

Physical / Structural / Neurological

Movement, muscles, joints, fascia, posture, gait, balance, coordination, injury, sensory input, recovery, and brain-body communication.

02

Chemical / Biochemical

Nutrition, digestion, absorption, hydration, blood sugar, hormones, immune activity, inflammation, nutrients, medications, supplements, environmental exposures, metabolism, and laboratory patterns.

03

Mental / Emotional

Stress, perception, trauma, grief, work, finances, relationships, caregiving, beliefs, purpose, boundaries, resilience, and recovery.

“These are not isolated systems. They are categories of information and demand acting upon one interconnected person.”

The Patient Journey

Four stages, in order.

A personalized plan is not a longer list. It is a better-ordered list — so each stage builds on what the one before it established.

  1. 01

    DISCOVER™

Understand the patient’s story, history, goals, timeline, and starting point.

  2. 02

    UNDERSTAND™

Connect meaningful patterns across the Health Triad and explain what the clinical information may mean.

  3. 03

    RESTORE™

Implement a prioritized Personalized Health Roadmap™, reduce modifiable roadblocks, and monitor the patient’s response.

  4. 04

    THRIVE™

Protect progress, improve resilience, reassess when useful, and help the patient build a sustainable relationship with health.

One connected system. Many symptoms.

Fatigue, stubborn weight, brain fog, gut trouble — symptoms rarely live where the problem does. Each guide below answers a real patient question the way we would in the office.

Modern Diagnostic Testing

Comprehensive blood work, body composition, and brain & eye health testing to see what's really going on.

Structure & the Spine

Advanced Lab Testing

One draw. Forty-plus markers. The whole story.

Most checkups test a handful of numbers against ranges built to flag disease. Our comprehensive wellness panel measures the systems that decide how you actually feel — then reads them through functional ranges, the tighter, health-oriented ranges where early patterns show up.

Live nearby? Review your results in the office. Anywhere else in the U.S.? Complete the draw at a LabCorp near you and review by phone or video.

Already have recent labs? We review those too

What is functional medicine?

Functional medicine looks for the cause of illness instead of only treating symptoms. We combine modern diagnostic testing — comprehensive blood work, body composition analysis, brain & eye health testing — with natural, non-toxic treatment methods like chiropractic care and nutritional therapy, so your body can do what it was designed to do: heal itself.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a real conversation: we go through your health history, current symptoms, and goals — the whole picture. From there, Dr. Ozzie recommends the testing that fits your situation (blood work, body composition, brain & eye health) and maps out a personalized care plan.

How much does functional medicine cost?

It depends on what your situation actually needs — which is why we don't start with a package, we start with a conversation. A complimentary consultation lets you sit down with Dr. Ozzie, talk through your health, and hear what testing and care he'd recommend (and roughly what it costs) before you commit to anything. Current offers can lower the cost of getting started.

Do you offer a consultation before I commit?

Yes — we offer a complimentary consultation so you can sit down with Dr. Ozzie, ask questions, and find out whether functional medicine is the right fit before any testing or treatment. See current offers.

What is applied kinesiology?

Applied kinesiology (AK) uses muscle-response testing as a functional assessment tool. Combined with chiropractic care and modern lab work, it helps uncover the root of stubborn health issues that don't show up in a standard exam.
