Lantana, TX

Patients from Lantana, TX can request individualized wellness support through one Flower Mound office and selected virtual options when appropriate.

Functional medicine for Lantana patients

If you have been through the usual round of tests and come out with reassurance rather than answers, the problem may be the framing. A panel read only against standard reference ranges answers "is this abnormal?" — not "is this right for you, given everything else going on?"

Dr. Ozzie has practised in Flower Mound since 2000, board-certified, Texas licence #8418, and works from the second question rather than the first.

Three domains, assessed together

Physical, structural and neurological. Movement, muscles, joints, fascia, posture, gait, balance, coordination, old injuries, sensory input, recovery, and brain-body communication.

Chemical and biochemical. Nutrition, digestion and absorption, hydration, blood sugar, hormones, immune activity, inflammation, nutrient status, and the effect of current medications.

Mental and emotional. Stress load, sleep, and the demands daily life is actually placing on a body.

These three rarely fail on their own. A digestive problem can start as a stress problem; fatigue can be structural, biochemical, or both at once. Examining them separately is how someone ends up with three partial explanations and no plan.

Frequent starting points

Thyroid health, gut and digestive problems, hormone imbalance, fatigue and low energy, chronic inflammation, blood sugar and insulin issues, sleep and stress, food sensitivities, brain fog, and weight management.

What a first appointment looks like

The Health Triad Comprehensive Evaluation™ runs ninety minutes in the Flower Mound office and costs $449 — a whole-person assessment rather than a single-symptom visit.

Inside that: consultation with Dr. Ozzie, a detailed history covering symptoms, lifestyle, previous care, medications and supplements, injuries and stress; review of any recent bloodwork you provide ahead of time; professional OptimalDX chemistry analysis and a written report where your markers support it; the patterns and priorities that emerge from all of it; and specific guidance on next steps and testing options.

The Evexia Advanced Wellness Blood Chemistry Panel is deliberately not included by default. Recent labs you already hold are often sufficient, and where they are not, cost is discussed up front.

What happens after the evaluation

Nothing is prescribed by category. What follows depends on what the assessment actually found, and it is discussed with you rather than handed over.

For some people that means targeted work in one area — chiropractic care, applied kinesiology, nutritional therapy, supplement guidance where it is warranted. For others it means further measurement first, because the useful next question has not been answered yet. Where a longer structured approach fits, the practice runs multi-week programs built around the same three domains, and where it does not, it is not suggested.

If your main need turns out to be new blood chemistry with a virtual review, that is the Executive Biomarker Review™ ($495). If you already hold recent labs and mostly want them properly interpreted, that is the Blood Work Second Opinion™. Being pointed to the cheaper, narrower option when it is the right one is part of the job.

How this works if you live in Lantana

A little over eight miles, and simple — out along FM 407, down FM 2499, then across to Cross Timbers Road. No freeway, and no county line to cross; Lantana and the office are both in Denton County.

At that distance in-person care stays entirely practical, which matters because the parts that need you physically present are not optional extras. The initial evaluation includes a physical assessment. Chiropractic work, applied kinesiology and in-office measurement all happen here. A plan needing several visits is not complicated by the getting here.

Where remote handling is appropriate it is used — lab review can be done from home, with the draw at any LabCorp and the discussion by phone or video.

Questions people ask first

Do I need a referral? No. You can book directly.

Is this covered by insurance? The practice is cash-based concierge care. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only insurance accepted, and HSA and FSA funds can be used.

How long before I know anything? The evaluation itself is ninety minutes, and you leave it with the patterns identified and a recommended direction — not with a promise to call later.

What if my problem is not something you handle? You will be told, and pointed elsewhere. That is a better outcome than a plan that was never going to work.

Practical details

This is cash-based concierge care. HSA and FSA are accepted; Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only insurance taken. Bring recent labs, a current list of medications and supplements, and any imaging or specialist letters. Sending bloodwork ahead means it can be reviewed before you are in the room, which makes better use of the ninety minutes.

Call 214-395-7264 to ask what is worth bringing, or book the evaluation directly.
