Functional medicine for Coppell patients

Persistent symptoms with unremarkable test results is one of the most common reasons people end up here. It rarely means nothing is happening. More often it means the measurements taken so far answered a narrower question than the one you are actually asking.

Dr. Ozzie has practised in Flower Mound since 2000 and is a board-certified chiropractor, Texas licence #8418. Bloodwork, where it forms part of the picture, is read through functional ranges as well as standard ones — which is frequently where a pattern first becomes legible.

What the Health Triad Method™ actually examines

Three domains, in one assessment rather than three appointments.

Physical, structural and neurological — posture, gait, joints, fascia, balance and coordination, old injuries that never quite resolved, and how well the brain and body are communicating.

Chemical and biochemical — digestion and absorption, blood sugar, hormones, inflammation, immune activity, nutrient status, hydration, and what current medications are contributing.

Mental and emotional — sleep, stress load, and the demands being made on a body day to day.

The reason for looking at all three at once is that they interact. Treating whichever one shouted loudest is how a problem gets managed for years without being understood.

What people come in with

Gut and digestive problems, thyroid health, fatigue and low energy, hormone imbalance, blood sugar and insulin issues, chronic inflammation, food sensitivities, sleep and stress, brain fog, and weight that resists genuine effort.

Where to start: the Health Triad Comprehensive Evaluation™

Ninety minutes in the Flower Mound office, $449. It covers a full consultation with Dr. Ozzie; a detailed review of your history, symptoms, lifestyle, previous care, medications, supplements, past injuries, stress patterns and goals; review of recent bloodwork you send ahead; a professional OptimalDX blood chemistry analysis and written report where you have enough recent markers; identification of the patterns and likely contributors worth prioritising; and guidance on next steps, testing options and care pathways.

Said plainly, because everyone asks: the Evexia Advanced Wellness Blood Chemistry Panel is not automatically included. Many people already have suitable recent labs. Where new testing is genuinely needed, the cost is discussed before anything is ordered.

What comes next

There is no standard package that follows the evaluation. The next step is decided by what was found and is talked through with you before anything begins.

That might be focused work in a single area — chiropractic care, applied kinesiology assessment, nutritional therapy, or supplement guidance where there is a reason for it. It might be more measurement, if the assessment raised a question that testing can settle. For people who need a longer structured process, the practice runs multi-week programs organised around the same three domains.

Two narrower options exist for people who do not need the full evaluation: the Executive Biomarker Review™ ($495) pairs new blood chemistry with a virtual review, and the Blood Work Second Opinion™ covers interpretation of labs you already have.

How this works if you live in Coppell

From the Town Center area it is about seven and a half miles — up Denton Tap, onto SH 121 Business, north on I-35E, then west onto Cross Timbers Road. The variable is traffic on that stretch of I-35E rather than the distance itself.

There is a practical point worth naming: Coppell has no full-service hospital inside its city limits, only freestanding emergency care, with the nearest hospitals in Irving and Las Colinas, Grapevine and Flower Mound. Crossing a boundary for non-emergency care is already normal here, and this drive is comparable to several you may already make.

The evaluation itself is in-office, because it involves physical assessment. Beyond that, lab review and follow-up conversations can happen remotely — the panel can be drawn at any LabCorp and discussed by phone or video. Hands-on chiropractic care, applied kinesiology and in-office measurement are the parts that will always mean driving in.

Before you call

Referral needed? No, you can book yourself in.

Insurance? Cash-based concierge care, with HSA and FSA accepted. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only insurance the practice takes.

How quickly is there a direction? The evaluation is ninety minutes and ends with the findings and a recommended next step, rather than a wait for results to be explained later.

And if it is not a fit? You will hear that directly rather than being enrolled in something anyway.

Cost, insurance and what to bring

The practice is cash-based concierge care, with HSA and FSA accepted and Blue Cross Blue Shield the only insurance taken. For the first visit bring recent labs, a full list of medications and supplements, and any imaging or specialist notes. Bloodwork sent in advance gets reviewed before the appointment starts.

Call 214-395-7264 to check the fit before booking, or schedule the evaluation directly.
