Dr. Todd Oczkowski is committed to help you restore and maintain optimal health through natural, non-toxic methods. He uses both modern diagnostic testing and alternative treatment methods. He will help you understand the causes of illness and learn methods of self-care so your body can fight disease and remain healthy without frequent visits to the doctor.
Dr. Ozzie is a board certified chiropractor with over five years of post-graduate studies and clinical practice in Applied Kinesiology (AK); and has three years of continuing education in functional/integrative medicine. His study and practice of AK and functional/integrative medicine combined with chiropractic care expands greatly the success rate of the overall health of all his patients, as compared to the practice of chiropractic care alone.
Dr. Ozzie is certified by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He received is undergraduate pre-med education in Canada at Mount Royal College and at the University of Calgary. He then moved to Dallas in 1995 to attend Parker College of Chiropractic, where he received his doctorate in chiropractic in 1998. Dr. Oczkowski spent the next two years as an associate chiropractor, and in the spring of 2000 he opened his own practice, the Functional Medicine Center, where he has successfully treated a wide variety of patients.

What is your background in functional medicine? Under whom or what institution did you study?
Can you prescribe medications (prescription) if needed?
Can you order all testing as if a medical doctor?
What is your fee for consultation? Initial? After testing?
Yes you may have to pay for and OV but a True functional medicine MD would refer you to me to be part of your care anyway. You would end up paying both docs anyway. Second sometimes with a functional medicine approach patients can decrease their meds or even get off of them. Yes one doc can prescribe your meds. I especially have a lot of experience with Thyroid issues. We have very good success managing it naturally. That being said every case is unique. Lastly its my pleasure to practice FM and to help my patients. This is where true healing is and its very rewarding when it happens.
